We are seeking a bilingual Program Officer who will provide administrative and programmatic support to our team of Program Directors.

POSITION: PROGRAM OFFICER
Location: This is a full time, permanent position based in Montréal, QC. Hybrid schedule, working from our office in the heart of Montréal and from home. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be based in Montréal. Occasional travel within Canada and evening work may be required.

Compensation: Competitive salary beginning at $70,000, commensurate with experience. Compensation also includes a generous benefits package (RRSP, health insurance, clean commute stipend, home office expense stipend), four (4) weeks’ vacation in addition to a winter break, and a Staff Donor Advised Fund.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Program Officer who will support our team of Program Directors in implementing the Foundation’s programmatic and strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
Administrative support (40%)
Assist with the daily operations of the program staff including managing schedules, coordinating in-person and virtual meetings, project management, engaging with partners;
Respond to inquiries from applicants and other stakeholders, by email and by phone;
Provide administrative support for program staff meetings and events including agendas, presentations, documents, and notes;
Organise business travel, including booking and managing itineraries;
Help plan, coordinate, and manage events;
Ad hoc communications support;
Liaise and communicate information between various staff and board members;
Run errands, pick-ups, and other special requests as needed.
Grantmaking support (60%)
Manage the intake of grant applications, track and communicate the status of applications, conduct due diligence and research on grant applications and applicants;
Assist in preparing grant and other program-related documents, including drafting, proofreading, editing and translating;
Receive, process and assist in reviewing grantee reports;
Manage, track and organise data and documentation;
Assist program staff in developing, designing and implementing special projects and new partnerships.
